19th June 11

Let me introduce you to my great grandfather from my mother’s side, a father’s day special… Haha! Lol no, I’m just kidding. He’s Jules Dalou, a French sculptor in the 19th century. I don’t really know much about him, but we were asked to draw a master’s work from our Figure Drawing class. I chose this. Original work is by Alphonse Legros. I chose graphite since it’s by far the easiest medium around, and I love graphite. It’s not that accurate, but I’m happy since it’s my first time to draw hair. Haha! My first plate for Visual Communication. Back to basics!
